The Social Shop opened its doors in Strawberry Hill in September of 2021, bringing together two local Charlotte brands under one roof. Whitney Ferguson and her mom, Susan Young, opened Blis, a gift shop in Founders Hall 20 years ago. Lauren Fisher ran The Little Red Shop, an online clothing boutique. When Covid hit, they met at a series of local pop-ups and decided to join forces to bring Charlotte the happiest shop in town!

Our goal was to create an inviting store that offered a one-stop-shop full of gifting and clothing for people of all ages and backgrounds. Most importantly we wanted a space where we could represent and support other locally owned businesses. Local brands sold at The Social Shop include: Piedmont Pennies, Queen City Crunch, Bear Food, Cloister Honey, Amen Jewelry and many more!

At The Social Shop we regularly host in-store events featuring these vendors and other Charlotte mainstays, along with food and drinks from other small businesses. We are so blessed for the connections that we’ve made with local businesses, and especially each one of you! Whether you’ve been our customer since day one or are brand new, we appreciate you so much! We hope to see you at the happiest shop in town soon!
